Description:A History of Health Service to Black Communities
As Advance Community Health celebrates 50 years of service to the historically Black Southeast Raleigh community provides an opportunity to learn more about its connection to St. Agnes Hospital on the campus of Saint Augustine’s University. Scot McCray, Bree Newsome Bass and Dr. Derrick Sauls discuss the important role of Community Health Centers during the pandemic and ongoing challenges.

CBS Reports speaks to Martin’s mother, Sybrina Fulton, thought leaders and activists about Martin’s life, the acquittal of George Zimmerman and how the Black Lives Matter movement has evolved in the special “Trayvon Martin: 10 Years Later.”

DEI Session 5: Film Club : Slavery and Suffering: History of Africa

Time: 3:00pm (45 minutes)
Description: This session will touch on the basics for this Black History Month and sharing about the origins of slavery from the African Continent. This film documentary will share more details about “the where, how, why, and what questions” concerning slavery.
This film documentary also touches on points that have been made by our recent training consultants, the Racial Equity Institute.
