Meet Stella

Due to stress from her home life, Stella had a hard time staying focused in class. She had academic and behavioral issues and often acted out at school.

Thankfully, CIS Student Support Specialist Nicole Boone recognized Stella’s potential. Nicole helped Stella channel her emotions in positive ways, focus on remote learning, and stay on track to graduate.

With Nicole’s help, Stella graduated high school early in December of 2020! Thanks to career readiness, resume building, and interviewing supports Stella received from CIS, she now works full-time in packaging/manufacturing at Hampton Farms in Severn, NC. The job provides health insurance, a 401K and paid vacation!
