CISNC’s R2R program serves youth transitioning from Youth Development Centers (YDC’s ) back into their communities and schools.
Last month, for Second Chance Act Month, the R2R team held a “Rep Your YDC” competition, encouraging students to share what a second chance means to them through song, poetry, rap, art, crochet work, and written stories.
All of the youth entries were AMAZING!! One winner was chosen from each YDC, and that winner “competed” against each respective YDC winner.
The competition was strong, and the youth really showed their creativity! It was a tough choice for the R2R team! The overall winner of the Second Chance Month “Rep Your YDC” competition is a young lady at Chatham YDC.
