Graduation Coach – Part time
The Graduation Coach at JF Webb High School in Granville County, is responsible for building relationships with 11th and 12th grade students and parents coordinating supports specifically designed to help them achieve in school by increasing attendance, improving behavior, strengthening coursework, in order to be on tract to graduate on time. In addition, the Graduation Coach will assist students and parents in navigating career and college opportunities after graduation. The Graduation Coach does this work by using the CIS Model to identify and assess the needs of identified case managed students, using Tiered supports, either induvial or group. The Graduation Coach will work in conjunction with the Student Support Specialist a key position in the CIS team, responsible for moving our mission
•Using the CIS program model, build relationships with students at-risk of dropping out and surround them with school and community supports to help them increase attendance, improve behavior, advance coursework engage parents/families, and plan for college and/or careers.
•Work with the School Support team and collaborate with school staff to assess, identify and prioritize student needs.
•Regularly collect, report and use student data to have strong program impact.
•Provide overall case management to identified students and deliver evidence-based interventions, based on student needs.
•Regularly collect, report and interpret student data and adjust to meet set goals in student support plan.
•Build relationships and connect regularly with identified youth (caseload students), providing evidence-based interventions designed to meet their specific needs.
•Build relationships with parent or legal guardian of identified students and seek their engagement and support
•Build relationships with partners throughout the county, bringing their supports into the school and connecting students to their services in the community.
•Manage day to day activities of community volunteers who may come in to assist students
•Bachelors Degree in Education, Social Work, Social Services or a related field
•Certification/License preferred (i.e. teacher, social worker, counselor, mental health)
•2 years experience at a minimum working with youth in education, social work, social services or related fields
of a Specialist or Coordinator level in a non-profit organization working to improve internal processes
•Valid North Carolina driver’s license and insurance
•Strong technology skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), Facetime and Skype
•Previous experience in a student data or case management system preferred
•Ability to work across teams and with multiple stakeholders (supervisor, parents, teachers, principal, community volunteers)

•Strong analytic, planning and organizing skills
•Ability to see, hear, speak and travel
•Must be able to lift 20 pounds
